Bantu Knots on Kinky Curly Hair
If you’re rocking a kinky weave and don’t feel like you’re getting as much volume as you could, doing a bantu knot-out could give you the lift you’re looking for.
For this you can two-strand twist each piece then rolled them up into knots. We also suggest you take your time taking down the ends because otherwise, you’ll end up with undefined curls. You can get this look by simply dampening the hair and letting it dry over night. Putting some oil on your hands while taking down the knots will help make the end result look less frizzy.
Bantu Knots on a TWA (Teeny Weeny Afro) with Extensions
This tutorial is really really great if you have a TWA (teeny weeny afro) but want to rock gigantic Afropunk-esque bantu knots.
Vlogger ‘Knotty. Knots’ created this look by putting braiding hair half way through a small rubber band. (Note: she uses two packs). She then two-strand twists the hair. She sections her own hair, putting them in hair ties that form tiny puffs. Then ties the twists onto her hair using rubber bands. (Be careful with rubber bands as they can pull out your hair when you take them out. It’s better to use hair ties whose elastic is covered). With the twists attached to her hair she wraps them into big beautiful knots.
Bantu knots can be fun but at the same time we’d suggest that you get the opinion of your hairstylist before trying on the Bantu Knots because there can be risks if not properly executed !
As always remember to consult your local salon and have a routine to take care of your beautiful 100% authentic natural Indian hair extensions.
